The visit is seen as one of the Trump administration’s key attempts to increase pressure on the parties to the conflict and enter a new phase of negotiations on the cessation of hostilities.
The delegation is headed by the Secretary of the US Army Dan Driscoll, with him the Chief of Staff of the US Army, General Randy George, arrived in Kyiv.
They should hold meetings with President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, representatives of the Ukrainian government, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and heads of defense enterprises.
Both political and military-technical aspects of cooperation between Kyiv and Washington will be discussed at these talks.
