The Ministry of Justice and the SCVD keep this issue on constant control, providing transparency and objectivity of consideration of each statement, ”the Deputy Minister of Justice said.

The total number of convicts and persons taken into custody is already 37 thousand in Ukraine. However, at the same time, not all convicted and prisoners fall under the necessary criteria for health reasons or articles for which they serve their sentences.

“For example, they cannot (be involved in the Armed Forces – Ed.) – for terrorism, for corruption, sexual crimes, for crimes against national security. According to statistics, 57% are convicted of property crimes, 11% are an article about illegal drug trafficking, ”Pikalov emphasized.
