According to the head of the bureau, the equipment was installed a few weeks ago by employees of one of the law enforcement agencies without any court decision. The incident occurred during the installation of electrical equipment in the official’s apartment.
The employees of the department involved in the installation of surveillance devices have already been informed that NABU recorded their activities. Despite official objections from colleagues in the law enforcement sector, Semyon Krivonos claims that the bureau has the names of specific persons responsible for this crime. He emphasized that such actions are illegal pressure on detectives and a gross violation of privacy.
Currently, the Bureau provides a legal assessment of the actions of law enforcement officers who are violators. The leadership of the department regards this as a disgusting way of gathering information and trying to obstruct investigations that concern the critical defense sector. In the conditions of resistance to the aggression of the Russian Federation, such conflicts between power structures create additional threats to state security.
