The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine announced that from now on, universities will start recruiting for 3-6 months of training under the “zero course” program for preparation for the National Multi-Subject Test (NMT). This is important for applicants, because the course will help increase the level of knowledge and improve the chances during admission.
The “zero course” program covers compulsory subjects: Ukrainian language, mathematics and history of Ukraine, as well as one optional subject – foreign language, natural sciences or literature. 90 classroom hours are allotted for the study of each subject. Studying is possible both in the daytime (auditory) and in distance form. Under the condition of continuing studies at the chosen university, graduates of the “zero course” can add up to 15 points to the total competitive score during admission to the first year at the same university. The introduction of the course is planned already this winter.
This project can significantly change the approach to the training of entrants and increase their competitiveness in the education market. Universities are preparing to intensify the recruitment campaign to attract as many applicants as possible.
