At the Lviv Center for Prosthetics and Rehabilitation, Superhumans performed a unique reconstructive operation – the wounded defender of the Armed Forces of Ukraine transplanted the second finger of the foot in the place of the lost thumb lost.

The operation was made possible by the joint work of Ukrainian and British surgeons who sought to return the fighter to the lost function of admiration – it is almost impossible without a big finger.
Nazar was seriously injured on the front as a result of a Russian FPV-arable blow. As a result, he lost one hand completely, and on the other – a thumb.
It is this finger that is key for any action related to the capture of objects, so restoring its function has become a priority for doctors.
The operation lasted several hours and required extraordinary accuracy. Surgeons connected the bone, blood vessels, nerves and tendons so that the transplanted finger received full blood supply, sensitivity and mobility.
This approach allows not only to restore the appearance of the brush, but also to restore its functionality in everyday life.
A month after surgery, Nazar was able to unscrew the bottle cover and lift small objects. Doctors note that a few months of rehabilitation are waiting for him ahead, but the chances of a complete restoration of the hobby function are real.
The Superhumans Center emphasizes that such operations are not only a chance for the wounded to return to a normal life, but also an important step in the development of domestic reconstructive surgery.

Nazar confessed that he wants to stay in his hands most of all and return to his brothers at the front – this is his main motivation for recovery.
