A few days after the announcement of a new annual contract for youth 18-24 years, about ten thousand men have already expressed a desire to join the army.
The 93rd OMBR of the Armed Forces, the deputy head of the Presidential Office Pavel Palis in an exclusive interview with TSN, told about it.
He noted that ten thousand appeals in a few days – this is a good result and stressed that the contract for young people 18-24 years is not the completion of reforms of the recruiting system, but rather the beginning.
“Because the 18–24 contract is the first stage in which we voluntarily enable young citizens to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is a pilot project, which has only been involved in only six brigades. One Marines, one DShV and four – land troops, ”said Pavo Palis.
According to him, it is necessary in order to test all the elements in each direction, on each team.
“From the moment the citizen applies to the moment he gets to the military unit, receives the first payments, becomes for all types of security, begins his preparation. We plan to track all the points throughout the contract in order for the mistakes in preparation, in the organization of payments, we had the opportunity to “interfere” all these things and repair all these things. Therefore, on six brigades, it is obviously easier than hundreds, ”explained the deputy head of the OP.
The number of appeals in the mobile application “Reserve+” regarding the conclusion of the annual “motivational contract” for service in the army for volunteers aged 18 to 24 years has already exceeded the mark of 10 thousand. The spokesman of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Dmitry Lazutkin said.
We will remind, in Ukraine the contract of 18-24 started, which enables citizens from 18 to 24 years to sign a voluntary annual contract and join the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to the spokesman of the Ministry of Defense Dmitry Lazutkin, there is a great interest in this initiative.
Volunteers provided benefits and payments. In particular, they are promised a financial reward of 1 million hryvnias, zero mortgage, free training and medical care. In addition, the soldiers will be prepared by NATO standards and will allow you to travel abroad after 1 year of service.
The Defense Ministry also told what positions they will be able to occupy 18-24-year-old volunteers in the army. They will only serve in combat positions that are at risk. These are the positions of shooter, grenade launcher, scout.
However, those who already serve will not be able to take advantage of the contract 24. The Cabinet resolution does not provide for the transition of existing servicemen for 18-24 years to a “motivational contract” for young people.
