Germany has announced a package of military assistance for 5 billion euros. The financing has already been approved by the Bundestag, ”Umerov wrote.
He reported that the parties signed a letter of intention according to which Germany funds the purchase of Ukrainian long -range means for hundreds of millions of euros.
“This is a direct strengthening of our defense and defense forces that use Deep Strike,” the minister said.
According to him, a contract with Diehl Defense for the production of IRIS-T systems was also signed. The total cost of the contract is 2.2 billion euros.
In addition, Germany funds the purchase of medical equipment of Ukrainian production.
“Germany has undertaken to support investments in the Ukrainian defense industry and call others to do so, in particular, it concerns air defense,” Umerov stressed.
