Umerov emphasized that Ukraine wants the US to maintain and strengthen its presence in international support formats.
“We want the US to stay and strengthen its presence, the formats are different, as you know, we created NSATU (format under the auspices of NATO), there are several European countries that want to lead it, or co-lead it, because it is being done together with Ukraine” , – he emphasized.
The minister also assured that there are no problems with the preparation of the next meeting of Rammstein.
“I don’t see any problems at the moment, because we have already agreed on the next Rammstein,” he said.
On January 9, the 25th meeting of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine took place at the Ramstein Air Base in Germany. The meeting was chaired by Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin. This is the last Rammstein meeting in which representatives of the Joe Biden administration participated, and Trump’s position on the continued participation of the United States in this format is currently unknown.
Allies within the framework of the Rammstein format have agreed on plans to support Ukraine. It is about the plans for the development of the defense capability of our country until 2027.
