Colonel Roman Kachur will head the Sahaidachny National Academy of Ground Forces. This decision was made after a survey of the military through the “Army+” application.
According to the statement of President Volodymyr Zelenskyi and Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umyerov, as a result of the survey, it was Colonel Kachur who received the most votes.
Zelensky emphasized the importance of this decision, as it is adopted together with the military. He noted that the head and commander of the Ground Forces proposed five candidates, among whom were Brigadier Generals Serhii Baranov and Mykhailo Sydorenko, as well as Colonels Yevhen Lasiichuk, Oleksandr Bakulin, and Roman Kachur.
The president said that Kachur has a lot of experience, in particular, he commanded the 55th separate artillery brigade. Zelenskyy noted that Colonel Kachur has a vision for changes in military education, in particular in the academy, and instructed him to conduct a full audit of the institution, in particular with regard to funding, training of cadets and work of the academy.
On the instructions of the President, the Minister of Defense has already signed the order appointing Colonel Kachur as the head of the academy.
