The demand for Ukrzaliznytsia train tickets is still exceeding last year’s performance, but it is slowly falling.
As she reported Press service Ukrzaliznytsia, 639 701 passengers were transported last week. This is 23 700 more than in the same period last year. But now the demand for transportation is declining.
“The demand is gradually declining – for example, in the most popular direction of Kiev – Lviv last week we recorded 128,000 requests in the application – against 151 thousand inquiries for the last week,” – reported in the UZ.
“Thanks to current flights, we can also offer more places in popular areas, such as Lviv and the Dnieper,” they added there.
Earlier, Ukrzaliznytsia has assigned an additional train by the Lviv – Vorokhta through increased demand for tickets in the Carpathian direction. This flight was made possible by optimizing the train route that runs in the Kharkiv direction.
Ukrzaliznytsia also launched an additional train Kyiv – Odesa in August.
