The situation with blackouts is difficult to predict now, as the Russian occupiers may be preparing a new attack on the power system. Ukrenergo noted that such terrorist attacks in the Russian Federation occur on average every 10 days.
This was stated by the head of the board of Ukrenergo Vitaly Zaichenko during the telethon, reports RBC-Ukraine.
“Now it is very difficult to predict anything, because we understand that the enemy is preparing for another attack. It always happens, we have seen it since the beginning of autumn, that every 10 days plus or minus there is an attack on the power system, massively so,” he said.
According to Zaichenko, it is quite difficult to balance the power system after each attack. Therefore, because of the Russian terrorist attacks, emergency shutdown schedules have to be applied.
“At the moment, there are no such schedules, there are schedules of limited capacity for industry, and there are also hourly shutdown schedules. Unfortunately, they are quite different throughout the territory of Ukraine, from one to three and a half queues,” he added.
The Christmas schedules of power outages have been published, in some regions – emergency ones.
