The national energy company “Ukrenergo” officially announced the introduction of hourly restrictions on electricity supply in all regions of the country during Monday.
The measures will apply to both household consumers and industrial enterprises, for which separate capacity limitation schedules will apply. The need for such steps arose as a result of severe damage to generation and distribution facilities caused by recent missile and drone attacks, resulting in power shortages in the nationwide grid.
Consumers should check the exact time and duration of outages at specific addresses on the resources of local operators of distribution systems, as the amount of restrictions may be adjusted depending on the current situation. Energy experts urge citizens to follow the rules of frugal consumption during periods when power is restored in order to reduce the load on the system and speed up restoration work. Specialists work around the clock to eliminate the consequences of the hits, but the state of the power system remains complex and depends on the further activity of the aggressor.
