The situation in Ukraine worsened again as a result of Russia’s massive attacks on energy infrastructure facilities.
It is reported Ukrenergo.
Airstrikes are currently ongoing, and the attacks on February 3 have resulted in emergency shutdowns in many regions. Restoration work at the affected facilities is still ongoing, and the blackout schedules that were implemented earlier are currently not in effect.
In recent days, Russian troops have struck critical objects, in particular in the Volyn and Ivano-Frankivsk regions, which further complicates the stability of Ukraine’s energy system. President Volodymyr Zelenskyi emphasized that these attacks are part of the Kremlin’s strategic plan to force Ukraine to surrender by using energy terror.
Citizens are encouraged to actively monitor updates on the official resources of Oblenergo. At the same time, despite the negative consequences of the attacks, the Ukrainian air defense system continues to work on the protection of critical objects, and military experts report violations of the aggressor’s plans in the implementation of his strategy.
Russia continues its aggression, trying divide Ukraine’s energy system, creating “energy islands” beyond the reach of traditional electricity supply networks.
Ukraine is on the verge of humanitarian energy disasters due to increased Russian attacks on civilian infrastructure.
