“Ukrenergo” reports on the difficult situation in the energy system due to Russian attacks, which resulted in damage to energy facilities.
Because of this, in several regions of Ukraine, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., hourly electricity blackout schedules covering from one to two shifts have been implemented.
At the same time, there are power restrictions for industrial consumers in these regions between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.
Electricity consumption remains high — as of the morning of October 28, it was 1.8% higher than the previous day.
This growth is associated with cloudy weather in most areas, which reduces the efficiency of home solar power plants.
In the Dnipropetrovsk region, due to bad weather, in particular thunderstorms and gusts of wind, about 30 settlements remain without power, but emergency crews are working to restore power, which they plan to complete by the end of the day.
Restrictions on electricity consumption are introduced due to massive Russian missile and drone strikes on energy infrastructure.
As a reminder, DTEK showed schedules of blackouts in Kyiv on October 28.
