In 2025, all 45 categories of claims for compensation for damages caused by the Russian Federation should be launched in the Register of Damages for Ukraine.
This was announced by the Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, following a meeting with the team of the International Register of Damages for Ukraine.
Yes, claims for reparations should appear for those who were forced to leave their homes, who were harmed to life and health, whose cars were destroyed and other types of damage.
“Now we will strengthen the team and finalize all legal and technical issues so that all categories of applications to the Register will be available in the first half of 2025,” the minister said.
According to Fedorov, currently the most common causes of losses for filing applications are:
- combat operations in the front or near-front zone;
- shelling;
- air attack;
- occupation of the settlement;
- the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station.
We would like to remind you that under the program “eRecovery” more than 70 thousand families received compensation for damaged housing and almost 5 thousand applicants received housing certificates for the purchase of a new one.
We previously wrote that Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal called on the authorities of Ukrainian cities to install alternative energy sources to ensure uninterrupted power supply to critical infrastructure facilities.
We will also remind you that in June 2024, the growth of the gross domestic product (GDP) of Ukraine slowed down by 1.1%. As a result, for the first half of the year, the growth of the Ukrainian economy is estimated at the level of 4.1%.
