Interior Minister Igor Klimenko said that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine had simplified the procedure for registration of passport documents for Ukrainians abroad. From now on, it is not necessary to physically present a military accounting document for registration of a passport.
The Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Klimenko said this on Telegram.
The Cabinet of Ministers has approved changes to the procedure for implementing the experimental project on automatic verification and checking information about conscripts, conscripts and reservists, which, in particular, concerns the rules of registration of passport documents.
“From now on, men aged 18 to 60 who are abroad do not need to physically present a military accounting document for issuing a passport of a citizen of Ukraine or a passport for traveling abroad,” the Minister said.
However, employees of foreign units of SE “Document” will check the status of military accounting in the register.
“If the data is absent, they will be entered automatically and, accordingly, men will be registered with the formation of a military accounting document in electronic form,” Klimenko explained.
He also stressed that this would happen without a medical commission.
“After that, the Ukrainian will receive the ordered document within a specified time,” Klimenko said.
Earlier it was reported that the government is working on permission to issue passports abroad to all categories of men. Currently, registration and receipt of passports for men aged 18-60 years who are abroad is possible only if there are military accounting documents.
Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine regulated the issue of issuing passports to Ukrainian citizens who are abroad, but only if there are military accounting documents.
In April 2024, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine published an additional clarification on the suspension of consular services for Ukrainian men abroad.
