Ukrainian Troops Secure Village of Berezove from Russian Forces

Ukrainian forces have successfully liberated the village of Berezove in the Dnipropetrovsk region from Russian occupation. This operation was carried out by the 95th Separate Air Assault Brigade, which has taken full control of the area.

The military continues its offensive to push Russian troops out of Ukrainian territory. Reports indicate that during these operations, the enemy has suffered significant losses in personnel.

In Dnipropetrovsk, Ukrainian forces are executing a planned offensive in the Oleksandrivka direction. According to the General Staff, nearly all of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast has been reclaimed, with ongoing efforts to secure the remaining areas.

The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) previously noted that Ukrainian troops have advanced 10 to 12 kilometers into the region. Since late January 2026, over 400 square kilometers have been liberated, although five settlements still remain under Russian control.

Additionally, the active operations of the Air Assault Forces aim to disrupt Russian plans for advancement in both Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions. ISW analysts suggest that successful counterattacks by Ukrainian forces in the south could thwart enemy strategies for the spring-summer campaign of 2026.

Ukrainian forces have reclaimed Berezove from Russian control, continuing their broader offensive in Dnipropetrovsk. The military's efforts have resulted in significant territorial gains and ongoing pressure on Russian forces in the region.
