Ukrainian Officials Brief Diplomats on Russian Attacks on Oil Infrastructure

Ukrainian energy company Naftogaz, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, held a briefing for foreign diplomats regarding the recent Russian attacks on the Druzhba oil pipeline infrastructure. The session aimed to inform representatives from 31 countries, including G7 nations and other European partners, about the impacts of these assaults.

During the briefing, officials presented comprehensive materials detailing the nature of the attacks, supported by photographic and video evidence from the affected sites. They also addressed the challenges faced by Ukrainian energy workers in the aftermath of these incidents.

According to Naftogaz spokesperson Oleksandr Koretskyi, restoring such infrastructure is a complex technological endeavor that requires significant time, specialized equipment, and operations under the persistent threat of further attacks.

Koretskyi emphasized that Naftogaz and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to keep international partners informed about the repercussions of Russian strikes on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, as well as the progress of recovery efforts.

Additionally, it was noted that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban recently mentioned the presence of Hungarian experts in Kyiv for several days. However, Koretskyi did not clarify whether these experts participated in the briefing.

Ukrainian officials provided a detailed briefing to foreign diplomats on the consequences of Russian attacks on the Druzhba oil pipeline. The session included evidence of the attacks and outlined the challenges of restoring the damaged infrastructure.
