A special operation by the Lasar’s Group of the Ukrainian National Guard has resulted in the destruction of 13 units of Russian military equipment in the Luhansk region. The operation was executed deep within enemy territory, targeting assets intended for assaults on Ukrainian positions.
According to reports, aerial reconnaissance conducted by the Lasar’s Group identified a concentration of Russian military hardware in the operational zones of the 3rd and 10th Army Corps. Despite efforts to conceal artillery and command posts beyond the front lines, drones deployed by the National Guard successfully located these targets.
Nighttime crews of heavy bombers launched a series of precise strikes, effectively rendering valuable Russian weaponry unusable.
The destroyed equipment included some of the most formidable assets that had posed significant threats to Ukrainian defenders:
-
One unit of the TOC-1A “Solntsepyok” and its transport-loading vehicle;
-
Three units of the 2S7 “Pion” self-propelled howitzers, known for their large-caliber firepower;
-
One command and staff vehicle (KShM), disrupting the command structure;
-
Seven armored vehicles (BVM).
The elimination of these command and artillery units has reportedly led to a significant reduction in the intensity of shelling along the front lines, directly impacting the offensive capabilities of Russian forces in two sectors of Luhansk.
A spokesperson for the unit emphasized the importance of the operation, stating, “A meticulously planned operation has secured our positions and eliminated equipment that the enemy considered unreachable.”
