Ukrainian Forces Confirm Destruction of Russian Drone in Crimea

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has confirmed the destruction of a Russian “Inokhodets” drone following an attack on the Kirovske airfield in occupied Crimea. Additionally, military sources indicate that three other drones were damaged during the strike.

According to military officials, the recent operation targeted a storage site for drones at the Kirovske airfield. Updated reports confirm that one “Inokhodets” drone was destroyed, while three others sustained damage.

The General Staff reminded that the “Inokhodets,” also known by its export name “Orion,” is a Russian operational-tactical strike and reconnaissance drone system with a medium range.

These drones are utilized by the Russian military for reconnaissance, patrolling, striking ground targets, and countering maritime drones.

Public specifications indicate that this drone can operate at distances of up to 250 kilometers, remain airborne for up to 24 hours, fly at altitudes of up to 7.5 kilometers, and carry up to 200 kilograms of aerial munitions.

The estimated cost of a single drone system is several million U.S. dollars.

In addition, on the night of April 4, Ukrainian defense forces targeted railway convoys carrying fuel in the regions of Shchotove and Stanytsia Luhanska, which are under temporary occupation. The General Staff noted that this action is expected to complicate the supply of fuel and lubricants to the Russian occupying army.

The Ukrainian military has confirmed the destruction of a Russian drone at a Crimea airfield, alongside damage to three others. This operation is part of ongoing efforts to disrupt Russian supply lines in the region.
