In October 2024, Ukraine set an annual record for the export of goods, selling products worth $3.8 billion, which is 18.7% more than the September figures. The growth was primarily due to the increase in the export of agricultural products and the effective operation of the sea corridor.

First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy Yuliya Svyridenko announced this.

Total exports since the beginning of the year reached $34.6 billion.

“Taking into account the current dynamics of the export of goods, we can predict with some caution that this year’s exports in monetary terms will exceed last year’s figures. In 2023, it was at the level of $36.2 billion,” Svyridenko said.

The physical volume of exports for ten months of 2024 (110 million tons) has already exceeded the indicator for the entire year of 2023 (100 million tons).

The main export goods of Ukraine in October 2024 by value:

  • sunflower oil ($447.2 million);
  • corn ($363.6 million);
  • wheat ($318.2 million);
  • soybeans ($260 million)
  • rapeseed ($239.2 million);
  • iron ore ($166.8 million).

Most exports go to Poland, Germany, Spain, Italy and Turkey. A total of $2.38 billion worth of goods were exported to the EU (+15.8% compared to September).

We will remind you that on November 2, a line of hundreds of cars formed at one of the checkpoints on the border with Slovakia. The reason was software problems.

Earlier, traffic was temporarily restricted at the Mogilev-Podilskyi-Otach checkpoint on the Moldovan-Ukrainian border. There, the period of repair work on the bridge over the Dniester River was extended for approximately 14 days.

And the Hungarian parliament approved the construction of a new checkpoint on the Ukrainian-Hungarian border, as well as the reconstruction of the Luzhanka checkpoint for cargo transportation.
