Ukraine will open two new consulates in Slovakia and Romania. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on Saturday, September 21.
As noted in the department, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiga announced the expansion of the consular presence in Romania and Slovakia.
“In both countries, it is planned to open new consular offices to ensure the protection of the rights and interests of Ukrainians living or staying in these countries,” the message said.
According to Sybiga, Slovak and Hungarian partners “are ready to actively participate in the process of post-war reconstruction of Ukraine”.
On August 22, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the Cabinet of Ministers approved a resolution on the launch of the e-Consul information and communication system, which will provide a number of services for Ukrainians abroad.
Prior to that, the department stated that they planned to update and digitize the provision of consular services. In particular, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that part of the services will be provided remotely or partially remotely, and feedback for users will also become available.
