Ukraine managed to return three children and their mother from the occupied territories, where they had been for about a year.
As Dmytro Lubinets, the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, reported, the family was in difficult conditions in the temporarily occupied territory of the Donetsk region.
Lubinets noted that during their stay in the occupied lands, mothers were threatened to take away their children, and minors were forced to study according to Russian educational standards. After relatives appealed to the Office of the Ombudsman, urgent preparations for their return were organized.
Thanks to the efforts of the Caritas of Ukraine and Rokad charitable foundations, it was possible to organize a safe route for the evacuation of the family and ensure their humanitarian needs in the territory controlled by Ukraine.
