The Cabinet restarts competitions for the distribution of hydrocarbons for Mezhigirsk and Svichansky plots with a priority for the American partner as part of the Reconstruction Investment Agreement.

The conditions of the competitions have been updated: the right of a partner from the US is provided for to buy products and a guarantee that other participants will not offer more favorable conditions – the “rules of the game” should be transparent and permanent for the investor.
In parallel with the Ministry of Economy and the State Geogador, they will check all subsoil users in strategic deposits – “who is really working and who simply holds licenses.”
Objects without extraction either give a result or return to the auction – “natural resources have to work for the economy.”
Recall that the agreement between Ukraine and the US on the subsoil will give results no earlier than 2040.
Ukraine also counts on American technologies through the subsoil agreement.
