The bodies of 757 fallen defenders were returned to Ukraine as part of repatriation measures.

Among the returned bodies:
- 451 soldiers from the Donetsk region;
- 71 from the Bakhmut direction;
- 51 from the Ugledarsky direction;
- 13 from the Luhansk direction;
- 137 from the Zaporozhye direction.
Also, 34 dead were returned from morgues on the territory of the Russian Federation.
This work was made possible thanks to the joint efforts of the Coordination Headquarters, the Central Department of Civil-Military Cooperation of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, the Joint Center of the SBU, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Office of the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, the State Emergency Service and other structures of the security and defense sector of Ukraine.
The coordination headquarters expressed gratitude for the assistance of the International Committee of the Red Cross and the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which ensures the transportation of repatriated heroes, their transfer to specialized institutions and forensic medical examination bodies.
It is emphasized that law enforcement investigators and experts of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will establish the identities of the dead as soon as possible.
