In January 2026, Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiga reported on the support of Ukraine in the field of energy from 18 countries due to the difficult situation with electricity supply caused by Russian strikes.
One of the biggest steps of this aid was the decision to transfer 445 generators, which will provide backup power for critical infrastructure.
The first phase of the transfer of industrial boilers for heat supply systems and humanitarian cargo with battery stations has also begun.
This support is provided through various organizations and initiatives, including the “Heat and Light for Ukraine” program and assistance from American partners. In January, 36 generators were also transferred to Ukraine for the cities of Kreminna, Kyiv, Lviv and others, and international partners are working on the delivery of additional batteries and generators for the frontline regions.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs called on Ukrainian diplomatic institutions to intensify fundraising for further support of the energy system.
