“The first step is to sign the Defense Agreement between Ukraine and the Philippine Government to create a legal framework for the next steps. If we sign a memorandum of understanding this October, then we will be able to move on to joint production, ”she said at the forum organized by the Chamber of Philippine Islands.
She noted that the project of the agreement had already been submitted to the Philippines Ministry of Defense and a response is expected.
Currently, Ukraine is developing different models and proposals for countries around the world, and the Philippines can become a “reliable partner” of Kiev in the region, and therefore Ukraine is open to share with the country “all we have”.
Last week, Ukraine’s first freelance attaché in the Philippines Colonel Andriy Bilenky visited several military units in Manila, including Air Forces, Army and Navy Staff. The discussion was focused on potential cooperation in the field of technology, training and development.
