During the recent visit of the Ukrainian delegation to the USA, it was proposed to use the capabilities of the domestic energy infrastructure to help American suppliers dislodge Russia from the European energy market.
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this in his video message on October 19, 2025.
“There should be zero Russian energy resources in Europe, and the signals from America are clear now – they are ready to supply Europe with as much gas and oil as is needed to replace Russian supplies. Our region has the necessary infrastructure, there is the necessary potential that can help Europe’s energy independence much more than some other projects. We are working on the details,” the head of state said.
Zelenskyi also thanked Prime Minister Yulia Svyridenko and the team working “with partners on gas for Ukraine, on energy support,” noting “significant results” in America and with Slovakia.
It will be recalled that the meeting between Trump and Zelenskyi untied Putin’s hands.
Zelenskyi also named the factor that will force the Russian Federation to end the war.
