The Head of State responded to US President Donald Trump’s statements that Crimea should remain Russian.
“Our position is unchanged: only the Ukrainian people have the right to decide which territories are Ukrainian. And the Constitution of Ukraine decides: all temporarily occupied territories – they are temporarily occupied, they all belong to Ukraine, the Ukrainian people. Ukraine will not recognize any temporarily occupied territories legally, ”the Head of State emphasized.
Zelensky added that this is a fair position, and it is also legitimate in terms of international law.
“This is even those countries that balance in relation to us and Russia, even they all recognize the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, including the Crimean Peninsula,” Zelensky explained.
