“There are currently 21 initiatives to localize production in Ukraine with the participation of the largest weapons producers, as well as up to ten projects abroad. All of them are at different stages: some have specific arrangements, others – at the negotiation stage. It’s about Denmark, Britain, Norway and other countries, ”the minister said.
According to him, the Ukrainian plant in Denmark is planned to open in the coming months.
“Regarding production in Ukraine, we also look at the possibility of concentrating them in some areas where the physical safety of these enterprises can be ensured. After all, long -term investments and contracts imply that such objects should be protected by air defense systems, ”Umerov added.
In addition, joint projects are already being implemented with German enterprises in the field of industrial, artillery and ammunition. Drones, artillery and ammunition projects are ongoing with American partners.
“Participation of Ukrainians in production abroad is one of the areas of support. The governments of partnerships, including the United Kingdom, consider initiatives that will promote the employment of Ukrainians in new defense industries, ”the minister summed up.
