“Among all the western neighbors, it is with Romania that Ukraine has the longest border. We are grateful to the Romanian side for the rapid pace of construction of the new bridge across the Tisza River, and this will allow you to open a new border of Bila Tserkva – Sigeta Marmotius soon, and therefore to strengthen our cooperation between our countries, ”Sibiga said.
According to the minister, he also discussed the prospect of building a transport corridor from the Greek port city of Alexandropolis to Odessa through Bulgaria and Romania with the Foreign Minister of Romania.
“Today in test mode, and I am particularly pleasant for me to voice, a direct rail connection between Kiev and Bucharest is launched. Two special wagons go to the Romanian capital today through Chisinau, and tomorrow they return to Kiev, ”Sibiga said.
He noted that all these projects should work for the benefit of citizens, including the Ukrainian community in Romania and the Romanian community in Ukraine, which are “the bridges of good neighborhood between our states.”
Sibiga also stated at the press conference that Ukraine and Moldova should start entering in talks with the European Union at the same time, as everything has already been prepared.
