President Volodymyr Zelenskyy insists that Ukraine receives the same strong security guarantees from the United States that Israel has.
Zelensky told reporters.
The President pointed to the need of Ukraine in Patriot Air Defense systems.
“There is a question that I discuss … on security guarantees from the United States of America. We very much want them to be strong, at least in Israel, ”he said.
In addition, Ukraine expects a military contingent from European partners. However, the possible placement of the European contingent will require US support.
The President of Ukraine added that this support should not necessarily be in the presence in the Ukrainian territory.
“I know that the United States of America is not very positive about this, so we are talking about intelligence work, we are talking about cyber defense, we are talking about Patriot Air Defense Systems,” Zelensky stressed.
He also added that security guarantees are needed on land, in the air and at sea.
