The head of state noted that the Russian Federation on Monday continued shelling of Ukrainian cities, rejecting the proposal of Kiev to continue the “ceasefire” regime after Easter.
“All this once again demonstrates what they really want in Moscow. However, Ukraine retains its proposal not to strike at least civilian infrastructure. And we expect a clear answer from Moscow, ”he added.
Zelensky recalled Kyiv’s proposal to stop firing of civilian infrastructure, which can be implemented by a ban on rockets and long -range drones.
“Representatives of Ukraine – both at meetings in Paris, who were and at meetings in London this week – will have the main task, the first thing about the unconditional ceasefire – this should be the beginning,” the President emphasized.
Earlier, the US Special Representative for Ukraine and Russia Kit Kelloggus stated that the team of US President Donald Trump would go to London to negotiate a truce in Ukraine.
Before that, the Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Special Representative of US President Steve Witcoff arrived on a visit to Paris, where they held a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron to discuss ways to reach peace in Ukraine.
