The Minister of Finance of Ukraine Serhiy Marchenko said that since the beginning of the full -scale war, Ukraine has received more than $ 133 billion financial support from international partners.
He stated this during a meeting with the Minister of Finance of Canada François-Philipus Champaham and Vice Chancellor, German Minister Lars Klingbayl.
Marchenko noted Canada and Germany as key partners of Ukraine, which stablely provide support in all areas – financial, humanitarian and military.
According to him, Germany ranks second in the world in terms of assistance to Ukraine – since the beginning of full -scale aggression, the amount of its support has reached 17.3 billion euros. Canada is one of the top five, giving 10.3 billion euros.
Separately, the minister drew attention to the G7 ERA initiative, which provides funding to Ukraine at the expense of profits from frozen Russian assets. Under this program, Canada has already provided $ 5 billion (about $ 3.4 billion), of which the first tranche of 2.5 billion was received earlier.
In turn, the European Union has allocated 18.1 billion euros (about $ 20 billion), of which Ukraine has already received four tranches with a total volume of 6 billion euros.
Marchenko stressed that such support is critical for Ukraine’s financial stability during the war and helps to maintain macroeconomic equilibrium in the country.
We will remind, the International Monetary Fund worsened the forecast of the population of Ukraine to 33.9 million in 2030.
We have also reported that the Basic Scenario of the International Monetary Fund for Ukraine suggests that the war will end in the last months of 2025.
