Roshel Senator MRAPs have a V-shaped bottom to dissipate the energy of the explosion and special cushioning seats. It is noted that the armored vehicles structurally consist of a monolithic armored capsule and external explosive-absorbing units: wheels, chassis, engine.
The Roshel Senator armored car is designed on the chassis of the American Ford F-550 heavy pickup truck. Initially, the car was intended for the needs of the police. Instead, the car was improved for the Armed Forces – it received armor capable of protecting the crew and troops from bullets fired from small arms and debris.
In addition, the Canadian armored car received a reinforced chassis, an all-wheel drive mechanism, and a 6.7-liter “omnivorous” turbodiesel with a capacity of more than 300 horsepower. In the configuration for the front, the car must also have a winch and a “night” light.
Since the beginning of the large-scale invasion, the Ministry of Defense has codified and allowed more than 20 armored vehicles of the MRAP class to be used by the troops.
We will remind that the specialized armored vehicle “Novator” manufactured by “Ukrainian Armored Vehicles” LLC protected the entire crew from the detonation of an anti-tank mine.
