Ukraine withdrew from the agreement signed in Moscow on October 18, 1996, regarding the visit of military cemeteries and monuments by veterans of the Great Patriotic War.
This was announced by the permanent representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk, after the government meeting.
The agreement was concluded within the framework of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), and now Ukraine is officially ending its participation in it.
Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers dismissed Deputy Minister of Justice Olena Vysotska. Government officials also dismissed three state secretaries: Nataliya Zapolska from the Ministry of Strategy and Industry, Viktor Kantsurak from Minagro, and Dmytro Slobodianyuk from the Ministry of Health.
On November 5, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dismissed Yuriy Dzhigyr from the position of Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umyerov.
