Any mineral resources between Ukraine and the US should be compatible with the European Union legislation.

This was stated by German Foreign Minister Annalen Berb during a visit to Kiev, Sky News reports.

According to Berbok, the European Union has agreed with Ukraine that any new agreement should be compatible with EU law.

“After all, this is our European continent … Of course, we also have a dialogue with all interested parties,” she said.

Earlier, the United States provided a new version of the mineral agreement to Ukraine. The document contains 58 pages and dated March 23. It was much tougher than the previous one, and Zelensky pointed to the inability to sign it in this form. In particular, such an agreement closes Ukraine in the EU.

As a result, Donald Trump stated that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy seems to have to give up a mineral agreement. He threatened him with “very big problems” in case of refusal to sign the document.
