According to the newspaper, the Ukrainian Embassy in New Delhi sent at least four letters to the Foreign Ministry. The department stated vessels that transported more than 150 thousand tons of grain from the Russian port of the Caucasus and their registration numbers. In Kiev, Russian companies mix wheat with occupied territories with Russian grain to hide its origin.

“It’s a crime. We will share our investigation with our colleagues from the European Union and kindly ask them to take the appropriate measures, ” – explained the Ukrainian Emergencies in India Alexander Polishchuk.

Ukrainian diplomats have warned DACKU of possible “serious consequences”, including sanctions not only for importing companies, but also for officials who consciously facilitate the trade in the stolen grain.

The European Union has not applied restrictive measures to the respective ships, but the EU representative Anitt Hipper noted that any proven involvement in the transportation of stolen Ukrainian grain may be the basis for sanctions.

Ukraine has already detained foreign vessels suspected of transporting such grain, and believes that Russian supplies undermine the food security and financial stability of the state in war.

Earlier it was reported that Ukraine has virtually lost wheat markets in Asia and Africa while focusing on exports to Europe. Wheat from the Russian Federation is imported into these countries.
