In the early hours of February 14, Ukraine faced a significant assault from Russia involving ballistic missiles and a large number of drones. Ukrainian air defense forces successfully intercepted the majority of the incoming threats.

The attack commenced around 6:30 PM on February 13, with Russia launching an Iskander-M ballistic missile from the Kursk region, alongside 112 strike drones, including types such as Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas. These drones were deployed from multiple locations, including Kursk, Oryol, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and occupied territories in Donetsk and Crimea.

Approximately 70 of the drones were identified as Shahed models. Ukrainian forces employed a combination of aviation, anti-aircraft missile systems, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups to counter the attack.

As of 8:30 AM on February 14, preliminary reports indicated that Ukrainian air defenses had downed or suppressed 91 enemy drones, including those of the Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas types. Additionally, 18 strike drones were confirmed to have hit 11 different locations, with debris from downed drones landing in two areas.

The Ukrainian Air Force warned that the drone assault was ongoing, urging civilians to adhere to safety protocols as defense operations continued.
