According to Sibiga, a significant progress in solving the sensitive issues of the historical past between countries was noted during the meeting.
“There are already several completed Exhumation cases in Ukraine – in the Lenniki and Zozhyshchi. At the end of September, we expect to start work in Yunikov, in Poland, ”the Foreign Minister said.
He also noted that he had agreed with a Polish colleague to continue constructive dialogue on historical issues, since it is important to find an understanding for the future and unity of both peoples.
“Our peoples deserve the alliance. We expect to restore the work of the Ukrainian-Polish Forum of historians as a platform for research of complex topics, ”Sibiga added.
