Ukraine and the US may sign the Subsoil Framework Agreement this week. The agreement will cover not only rare earth metals, but also all mineral resources, including oil and gas, as well as basic energy assets throughout Ukraine.
According to Financial Times, significant progress has been made after US President Donald Trump agreed not to take into account the previous military assistance provided to Ukraine in the Agreement. An unnamed high -ranking Ukrainian official noted that it could open the way to signing the agreement this week.
At the same time, some deputies of the Verkhovna Rada, including the servant of the people, have expressed anxiety about the possible signing of the agreement, emphasizing that they would not support an agreement that will be unattractive for Ukraine.
Earlier, we wrote that at the negotiations the Ukrainian delegation achieved that the US Agreement would not demand compensation for all previously provided assistance.
