The Ministry of Strategic Industry of Ukraine and the European Aerospace, Security and Defense Industry (ASD) have signed a Memorandum on Correspondence in the Defense Industry Cooperation in Brussels.

The signing took place within the framework of the Defense Industry Forum Ukraine -EU. The document was fixed by the Minister of Strategic Industry of Ukraine Herman Smetanina and Secretary General of ASD Jan Pi.
The purpose of the memorandum is to promote the common interests of the Ukrainian Defense Industry and the ASD.
In particular, the parties agreed to strengthen cooperation between Ukrainian defense companies and members of the European Association, as well as facilitate their participation in industrial consortia under EU programs, such as the European Defense Fund (EDF) and Horizon Europe.
One of the first results of the arrangements was to start a platform for business communication ASD Connect, which will allow Ukrainian and European companies to establish direct contacts.
The memorandum is signed for a term of three years with the possibility of continuation.
“We see great interest from European companies in the Ukrainian defense industry, and this interest is mutual. We can strengthen our partners through experience, skills and ability to quickly adapt to the needs of the front and introduce innovations at lightning speed, ”Smetanin said.
He thanked the ASD for the support of the Ukrainian Defense Sector and the organization of the Second Defense Industry Forum Ukraine -EU. The ASD European Association brings together over 4,000 defense companies that provide up to 98% of defense production in Europe.
