The bodyguard of People’s Deputy Mykola Tyshchenko pleaded guilty in the case of an attack on a military man in Dnipro during an unauthorized raid on call centers by law enforcement officers. He made a deal with the investigation.

This is stated in the court decision.

According to the case materials, Zubera admitted his involvement in the illegal deprivation of liberty of a person, carried out based on a prior conspiracy (Part 2 of Article 146 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), as well as in torture (Part 2 of Article 127), and testified about the circumstances of the attack for a military serviceman.

The documents indicate that on Thursday, November 7, the bodyguard of the People’s Deputy entered into an agreement with the prosecutor, in which he admitted his guilt and undertook to cooperate with the investigation, in particular to testify against all persons involved in the crime, including People’s Deputy Tyshchenko.

The sentence provided for five years of imprisonment. However, thanks to the concluded agreement, the court made a decision to release the accused from actually serving the sentence, assigning him a two-year probationary period. Provided Zubera does not commit any new criminal offenses during this period, he will avoid prison.

In addition, the husband is obliged to appear from time to time for registration at the supervisory body, to report any changes in the place of residence, work or study, and also not to leave the borders of Ukraine without consent. After the verdict was passed, Zubera was released from the pre-trial detention center, and 6,058 hryvnias were collected from him in favor of the state to reimburse the costs of forensic examinations.

We will remind that on November 15, the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv extended the preventive measure against People’s Deputy Mykola Tyshchenko, leaving him under 24-hour house arrest until December 23.

Earlier we wrote that one of the directors of the department of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine was informed of the suspicion of abuse of official position. According to the investigation, the official illegally reduced fines for the Lviv businessman Hrynkevich to the amount of almost 94 million hryvnias.

We would also like to remind you that SBI employees have completed a pre-trial investigation into Lviv businessman Ihor Hrynkevich and members of a criminal organization that supplied low-quality military clothing for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The amount of damages is more than 1 billion hryvnias.
