The Batkivshchyna faction unanimously supported the continuation of martial law and mobilization, as Ukraine cannot surrender. In the future, if there are prerequisites, these both decisions can be canceled.

This was stated by the leader of the Batkivshchyna Party and the People’s Deputy of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko.

“As soon as the Verkhovna Rada voted for the continuation of martial law and mobilization. The Batkivshchyna faction has unanimously supported both decisions. Because it is not a topic for speculation. Because the war has not ended. Because our people and our state are still in danger. Because Putin, which is cynically, is being ignored.

According to her, the war really creates many problems, and the authorities often solve them unprofessionally, but Ukraine cannot surrender.

“Busification – shame; lack of demobilization for our fighters is unfair; closed borders are horrible. But Ukraine cannot capitulate. As if someone would not like it,” the leader of the Motherland Party added.

She also stressed that the martial law can always be canceled in advance. As soon as the prerequisites are.

We will remind, for the first time martial law was introduced in Ukraine in the morning of February 24, 2022 for 30 days. Then this term extended, and in May 2022 its duration was increased to three months. Last time, martial law and general mobilization were continued in February this year. Then Zelensky has signed the relevant laws 14 times.

Military status and mobilization in Ukraine were continued for 90 days – from May 9 to August 6.
