To destroy the locust centers, they created a coordination headquarters, which was joined by representatives of local authorities, agricultural sector, State Consumer Service, SES and other services.
According to experts, in the area of the locust, it is mainly powered by reeds and wild herbs. Until industrial crops have suffered significant losses. In particular, the treatment of non -agricultural territories is ongoing in the region.
Since June 23, a special plant protection regime was introduced on almost 300 hectares Kherson region. There, insects struck 27 hectares of sunflower crops.
Experts found that after processing the territories, the locust population has decreased significantly there, and the total number fell to the limits of the economic threshold of harmfulness. Currently, the Kherson region is considering the removal of a special regime, but the monitoring is ongoing.
