This was stated by a spokeswoman for Temma Bruce State Department and confirmed at the American Embassy in Kiev.
Bruce stated that the decision to appoint Davis by the temporary head of the Embassy in Ukraine was made by US President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
Davis will become a temporary US Attorney in Kiev “at an extremely important point when we are moving towards a peace agreement to stop bloodshed”, Bruce said.
The US Embassy in Kiev reported that Ambassador Julie Davis would start performing the duties of a temporary US attorney in Ukraine in Ukraine from Monday, May 5, 2025.
