Three military personnel of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation received 12 years of imprisonment for ill -treatment with a civilian resident of the village of Gavronshchyna in Kyiv region.
The corresponding sentence was issued with the support of public prosecution by the prosecutors of the Prosecutor General.
The investigation found that in March 2022, during the temporary occupation of part of the Makariv community, Russian invaders tortured a local resident during the week. They beat the man, threatened weapons, tied his ropes, removed his clothes, deprived food, water and warmth. In particular, mocking, the invaders even buried a person into the ground.
The case was investigated in absentia by the SBU investigators in the city of Kyiv and Kyiv region. All three soldiers were found guilty of the article on violation of the laws and customs of war committed by a group of persons (Part 1 of Article 28, Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Earlier in the Kirovohrad region detained a serviceman-a driver-electrician of one of the parts, who transferred the enemy coordinates of the Armed Forces and facilitated the strikes in the Central Region of Ukraine.
In the Rivne region, the staff of the National Police and the SBU detained two young men who tried to organize a terrorist attack against law enforcement.
