“There will be a sequel.” How the liquidation of 16 Russian generals by Ukraine triggers a “domino effect” – Dzhigun

I’ll start by saying that during the full-scale invasion, Ukraine was able to eliminate 16 Russian generals. This is a very convincing figure, because the generalship is the highest military rank. These are the people who determine the course of this war. If they fall under the distribution, if they are destroyed, then it means that things are really bad. And even that part of the military elite, which considered itself overprotected, cannot defend itself.

Therefore, of course, there are several goals of such an operation on the part of Ukraine, as I see it. The first is, of course, to give a proper response to all the madness expressed by the so-called general [Кирилов]talking about fighting mosquitoes; this is a person who is accused of using chemical weapons against the Ukrainian military. That is, it is retribution for war crimes and disinformation, propaganda that emanated from his mouth.

And, secondly, it is a factor of destabilization within the Russian military and political elite. If a person who has security, a person who works at a regime facility, a person who is directly involved in the war against Ukraine, is eliminated after a scooter explosion, it raises big questions for the rest of these people and their families.

Therefore, I think that this is an important factor for destabilizing the situation inside Russia, a demonstration that they are not as unattainable as the Russians themselves try to paint, living comfortably in a country that occupies other territories and kills civilians.

I think that this should be continued, and it seems to me that there are enough resources from the Security Service of Ukraine and other special services. The main thing is that it now leads to that series of falling dominoes, a chain; so that after this murder, the next ones would appear, and they would destroy the system inside with paranoia, fear of being liquidated, and in general, a willingness to work for this Putin regime.

What was indicative for me in this situation? It’s that Russians usually take such a offended pose, puff out their cheeks, and after such things refuse to communicate, from any agreements on exchanges, etc. Now there is no such thing.

Instead, we got a response from [прессекретаря диктатора Дмитра] Peskov, who said that Russia is ready for negotiations in principle. That is, they could not even use this case in order to disrupt some negotiation process, which the new American president is now trying to establish and set up [Дональд Трамп]. And this is a good sign.
