US President Donald Trump confirmed the need to end the war between Russia and Ukraine as soon as possible. He also announced plans to meet with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin after appropriate negotiations have been completed.

After his inauguration on January 20, Trump told reporters in the Oval Office about his intention to end the Russian-Ukrainian war.
Recalling his campaign promise to end the war in Ukraine within 24 hours of taking office, Trump noted that he still has half a day to achieve that goal.
In addition, he said that he plans to meet with Putin after negotiations between the teams are settled, and added that the process is already underway.
Earlier, Trump’s new Secretary of State Marco Rubio, whose candidacy has already been approved by the US Senate, said that he could not establish an exact time frame for ending the war between the Russian Federation and Ukraine. However, he emphasized that in order to achieve peace, each of the parties will have to make certain concessions.
It was also reported that Trump’s team is preparing for negotiations and a meeting with Putin in order to end the war against Ukraine. The Kremlin, for its part, declared readiness for a meeting without preconditions.
