The Ukrainian side has information that the United States is close to the use of sanctions against the Russian Federation for refusing to stop the fire, and this can happen in the near future.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reported this at a briefing. He hopes that the “relevant strong steps” of the United States will be soon.

“And I know – at least we have such information – that America is close to appropriate activities. Let’s see if it will be. It’s not a prophecy, it’s just information that is. As far as it matches the realities – we will just see you in the near future, ”he says.

The President emphasized the gratitude of the United States, Congressmen, Administration and Donald Trump for the assistance, including the exchange of intelligence. “We also expect such strong sanction steps,” he summed up.

On April 4, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that the United States was planning to increase pressure on Russia, in particular Congress has already started working on a bill on new sanctions.

Rubio also acknowledged that Russia violates the conditions of the energy truce, and this is a bad sign.
